XT-30 plug insulation Mould for potting XT-30 plug and socket
Article is in stock
With this device XT-30 connectors (male/female) can be insulated and strain-relieved. Insert the connector with the cables, screw together, fill in hot glue with the gun. As soon as the hot-melt adhesive swells out of the side openings, the plug is ready to be cast. After the adhesive has cooled and set, unscrew the mould and remove the finished plug. Remove the protruding remains with the cutter.
The mould should be lightly treated with silicone spray before pouring in the hot-melt adhesive, so that the plug can be easily removed from the mould after bonding.
The use of different colors is helpful to avoid confusion when connecting different battery types.
IMPORTANT: When using the plug form with the battery already soldered on, please make sure that the cables (e.g. shrinkdown plastic tubing) and the contacts at the front of the plug (e.g. a strip of insulating tape) are well insulated, otherwise it can lead to a short circuit when inserted into the plug form and thus destroy the battery. In the case of lipo's, there is also a not inconsiderable risk of fire in the event of a short circuit.
