Gab Rudderhorn variable made of CFK, 7-piece with integrated ball joint.
The mounting of the rudderhorn variable is very simple. Screw the threaded part (M5), which has been shortened as required, of the rudder lever into a hole 4.8 mm diameter provided in the rudder blade. Adjust the length and fit or fit the corresponding CFK sleeve. The installation with an additional angle is easily possible after sanding the corresponding mold sleeve. The length of the rudderhorn can be adjusted from 13mm to 35mm.
Final assembly with a 2K epoxy glue.
The 7-piece CFK set consists of a rudderhorn, 3 pieces of form sleeves, ball joint and screw connection. From 13mm to 51mm, our heave lengths are available.
The rudderhorn can be easily glued and painted. The Gab Rudderhorn are made of highly compressed carbon fiber (nylon with 45% carbon fiber content). At 300 ° C and under high pressure (1800 bar) the horn in hardened stainless steel molds get their appearance. Since this process has similarities with the production of highly loaded components in large aircraft construction, it has been adopted for the manufacture of these control levers. The result is a high-strength component, which must not shy away from a comparison with duralaluminum. However, it is lighter and more vibration resistant. All rudderhorns are manufactured in Germany using state-of-the-art CNC machines.
